Currently Reading: September

Books, books, books!!! We are not allowed to buy any more books! That’s what my husband and I tell each other every time we pass by a Barnes & Nobles, visit a museum shop, gift shop, thrift shop, go on amazon for something totally unrelated…

Ok, so these have been ongoing… like for months. But, I finally finished Building a Story Brand, woot woot! I’m nearing the finish line with Daring Greatly.

So in a concerted effort to pay attention to the book shelves and table top piles that go ignored for weeks at a time, I have given myself the task to do a monthly round up of what I am currently reading.

Brene Brown shares so much good wisdom in Daring Greatly.

There’s usually more than one book on the go because they each serve a different purpose.

“Don’t squander joy.” Such truth in this world of anxiety, stress and never enough.

Some, to inform on a topic that is of interest or need at the moment. Others, to guide me in living a more intentional life.

I mean, everyone needs to read this book!

While still others are for pure, joyful escape and entertainment, though I tend to learn something from these as well.

City of Girls & Paris: The Novel
I’m in the middle of this one. Very entertaining so far!
Paris: the Novel is waiting in line behind, City of Girls.
My lovely, summer house guests left these gorgeous magazines for me. The articles are perfect for morning reading with coffee, or for perusing during lunch.
From Mindful Studios. Slow and steady… that’s my motto.
Jeanne Oliver’s beautiful studio and land in the Aug/Sept/Oct 2019 issue of, in her studio.
So many gorgeous images in this issue.

All of this reading has hardly made a dent in those piles, but I am enjoying myself immensely. Now, I’m afraid to ask what you’ve been reading…
