March, April, May… That’s right, we’re in May. I have been a bit all over the place lately, trying to keep some semblance of normality. Trying to keep my hands moving by just creating something, anything…
If you’ve followed along on IG, you can see I’ve gone from landscapes, to flowers, to landscapes, …
and now textile inspired journal spreads! Seemingly random, but using mixed media to translate textile patterns and textures unto paper, has been an idea that I have wanted to explore for a long while now.
With intersession camps, art shows, and art markets cancelled for the last two months, I’ve just allowed myself to wonder.
Then a little opportunity popped up to join the Skill Share Teach Challenge (thanks @ameighart for telling me about it) and I signed up!
I was a bit hesitant at first. I’ve taught all of my life, but never online and very few times with adults. Then I thought, this is a good opportunity for a guided intro into the world of online teaching.
So, I’ve been quietly exploring those things that pique my curiosity and bring me joy in the hopes of creating something worth sharing.
I’m on the filming portion of creating my class, eeeek! I’m feeling excited, nervous, and way out of my comfort zone, which means I’m on the right path. I hope.
Stay tuned and wish me luck, while I get myself and my studio organized for some exciting new things!!!
