Currently Reading: February

February 10, 2021 Leave a Comment

Well it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a currently reading… Today’s picks are all about enjoyment and inspiration.

What Women Create is one of my favorite magazines in the inspo category. Their Winter 2020 issue is heavenly. So many wonderful artists I follow on instagram are featured in this one.

Polly Fern

Polly Fern is an illustrator and ceramicist from England. Check her out at http://@pollyfern and https://www.pollyfern.com/ .

Ronni Nicole

Ronni Nicole is a floral artist who creates botanical sculptures from her home in Pennsylvania. I am the proud owner of one of her small sculptures, and hope to one day acquire a few from her black collection. You can find her at https://www.instagram.com/iamronnicole/ and https://www.ronnicole.com/ .

Jamie Beck

Oh, how gorgeous are Jamie Becks’ photographs! She is an Americana living in the South of France, who captures the most stunning imagery, reminiscent of old master paintings. She sells her prints and phone cases ( I have one!) at https://jamiebeck.co/ . Or, you can just spend a bit of time perusing her lovely work https://www.instagram.com/jamiebeck.co/ .

Now for some blissful escape. Here is a cozy mystery written by my lovely friend Melissa Bourbon. Grab a glass of wine, a blanket, and get lost in this tale of murder and bibliomancy!

You can follow along Melissa’s writing adventures at https://www.instagram.com/bookishly_cozy/ and find more of her books at https://melissabourbon.com/ .

Ok, now moving on to some soul work I started in January… This book is helping me clarify my why and how, in terms of the creative path I have chosen. I’m still reading it, but have already underlined loads, and written a bunch of notes in the margins. Yes, I write in my books these days.

Have you read any of these? Are you familiar with these artists?

I hope you are all doing well out there, and that you find ways to slow down and be nurtured.

Lots of love,

Theresa
